1. Description of Chance The design and engineering features of the Supercritical loop are deteribed in the SAHDUARDS REPORT 10R SUPERCRITICAL TEChN01DGY PROGRAM, dated Octcoer,196L and in SttPPIFENT No.1 to the Safeguanis Report dated February 1965. This loop . ras licenced for operation by Change No. 16 to the Saxton Technical Specifications. This Change Report describes the derign chances which have been made to the loop.

2. brrose of Chang The purpose of the design changes is to improve the operational reliability of the loop and to simplify the loop instrumentation and control system. No change has been made to either the fuel, the pressure tube or the basic operating parameters.

3. Conclusions It is our conclusion that this change does not involve a change in the Technical Specifications or any unreviewed safety questions and that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered by this change.
