4 OPERATIONAL

SUMMARY

August, 1982 August,1 - August 31, 1982:

The unit outage which began on March 13, 1982 was still in progress through the end of August, 19112 .

The foilowing are the more significant outage activities performed during the amanth of August:

1) Completed installation of auxiliary feedwater piping hanger and whip re-s t raints .
2) Successfully completed flow testing of both auxiliary feedwater headers.

'l) Completed a repeat radiography of all new piping welds and additional inspec-tion of stabilized internal auxiliary feedwater header.

4) Completed all work on pressurizer code safety valves.

's) Verification of the integrity of the reactor coolant system (RCS) piping support anchor holts was completed.

te) C.impleted rea:.:mmbly of main steam isolation valves (MS100 and MS101) and replaced MS101 valve / operator coupling.

Full temperature anil pressure was initially reached on August 20, 1982, however, pressurizer spray valve problems were experienced the next day and the RCS was cooled down to repair the valves. The unit once again reached full temperature j and prensure on August 28, 1982. Zero power physics testing was in progress at
