On June 24,1998, the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS) Unit Number 1 site was
' damaged by a tornado and high winds. As a result of this event, an Alert was declared by the DBNPS staff, the DBNPS Emergency Response Facilities were activated, and a Special
. Inspection Team was deployed to the site by the NRC, Due to this event and follow up actions, including responding to oral NRC Region III and NRC l
Office of Reactor Regulation requests for information related to the event, it has become necessary.to reschedule the responses to several formal NRC requests for additional information that existed prior to the June 24,1998, tornado.' This rescheduling was discussed with Mr. Allen G. Hansen, DBNPS NRC Project Manager, on July 9 and 13,1998. The following list provides a brief description of the subject response, the NRC Technical Assignment Control (TAC) Number, the previous date the response was due to the NRC, and the revised due date.
