Halon Bottle Discharges in Panel P936 AECM-83/0363 On May 26, 1983, halon bottle number 2 in halon panel P936 discharged until empty. An inspection revealed no smoke or fire in the floor panels. An hourly fire watch was established in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.6.4 pending replacement of the bottle and a maintenance investigation.

The halon bottle has been replaced. The Limiting Condition for Operation is being maintained until the investigation is complete and retests are performed satisfactorily. This is submitted as a Special Report pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2 since the Limiting Condition for Operation time limit of fourteen (14) days was exceeded. An update report giving the results of the investigation is expected to be submitted by July 31, 1983.
