Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File: 0260/L-835.0 Special Report 83-029/0 - Wind Direction Sensors Incorrectly Wired AECM-83/0273 On April 22, 1983, maintenance personnel noted that the 50 meter wind direction reading did not agree with the 10 meter reading while the wind vanes were pointing in the same direction. Maintenance personnel investigating found that Design Change Package 82-502 which installed new sensors had incorrectly wired the system such that east and west direction readings were in error.

A Change Notice was issued to the DCP which corrected the wiring diagram.

The change was made and the system was restored on May 3, 1983. This is submitted as a Special Report as required by T.S.3.3.7.3.a and pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2.
