EDO REPORT - WEEK OF JULY 7-11, 1980 1.
Briefino of Carnesale On 7/11/80, Dr. Carnesale was briefed by W. Dircks, E. Ps. Cornell, R. Mattson, and E. Fay.

TMI Purgine Comoleted The.TMI-2 reactor building purge systems were shut down at 10:00 A.M. on 7/11/80. The total release of Kr-85 as of the shutdown was calculated to be approximately 43,800 Ci based on stack flow rate and measured stack concentration. The accumulated purge data continues to be analysed by Met Ed and NRC. Entry to the containment may not take place for another month.

Nuclear Safety Oversicht Comittee The Comittee plans to meet in Washington, D.C. on 7/28 and 7/29. The Cor.ittee's Executive Director, Steve Ebbin, indicated that he would con-tact the Chaiman and arrange for meetings as may be appropriate.

FY 1932 Dudcet Review The EDO mark and recomendations of the FY 1982-83 Office budget requests was forwarded to the Comission on Tuesday, 7/15/80.
