e NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation October 17, 1979 Page 3 The following revised schedule is proposed for the modifications discussed above: Item _ Date 3.1.2 March 31, 1980 3.1.4 August 31, 1980 3.1.5 March 31, 1980 3.1.6 June 30, 1980 3.1.10 March 31, 1980 3.1.11 March 31, 1980 3.1.16 June 30, 1980 3.1.19 January 31, 1980 3.1.20 March 31,1980 We will attempt to complete the other fire protection modifications and analyses by the dates specified in Tables 3.1 and 3.2. However, our technical staff, operations, maintenance, clerical, and craft personnel have been under an enormous work load for the past several months. This situation can be expected to continue indefinitely due to work mandated by the Commission Staff's Three Mile Island review groups, new issues raised by the Division of Operating Reactors, the Fire Protection Safety Evaluation Report, and an unprecedented number of I6E Bulletius. It will be necessary to assign priorities to these tasks so that we utilize our manpower and other resources to rapidly complete those tasks having direct safety significance. Please contact us if you require additional information related to our revised schedule. L. O. Mayer, P.E. Manager of Nuclear Support Services LOM/DMM/amh cc: J. G. Keppler G. Charnoff 1203 091}}
