Dear Ms. Henning:

Subject:

Supplemental Response to 7/10/98 Information Request As required by Part 4 of the Information Request package from Mr. William E. Muno, USEPA, additional information regarding the June 17, 1998 oil spill event is being provided. This information serves as a supplement to our August 17, 1998 submittal. ~

While restoring the Unit Two Circulating Water System on (August 22, 1998),

. approximately three gallons of lubricating oil were recovered from a vent associated with the Miscellaneous Sealing and Cooling Water (MSCW) System. This oil originated from the spill that occurred on June 17, 1998. This portion of the MSCW System had been out of service since June 17, 1998.

In our report dated August17, 1998, we reported that a total of 154 gallons of oil had been recovered. Based on the discovery of the three additional recovered gallons of oil, the revised amount of oil recovered from is now 157 gallons.

We will continue to provide updated information on the spill, as required by your letter.

Should you have any questions please contact John Garison at (616) 465-5901 ext.
