Our organisation was established in August, 1988, and is very concerned with the proper repositing of low-level radioactive nuclear waste. Since the State EXECUTIVE BOARD of Michigan is currently studying three areas of the Chairman, Indiana state for the establishment of such a repository Larry Davis we have done extensive studies and research and we Chairman, Ohio have discovered. that the steam generators of one unit Carolyn Bolovan of the Ronald C. Cook plant at 3ridgman, Michigan, Treasurer are being replaced. )le have also been informed that Patricia Winzeier the generators, being highly radioactive, are being Recording Secretary stored on site in concrete bunkers, uncovered, and Bov Tyler that the NRC approved this method of storage.

Corresponding Secretary Dorothy Rottig Please explain to us on what grounds you'can approve an uncovered storage of such highly radioactive material.
