CLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION (01 4-2014-028)

Dear Mr. Mccann :

This refers to an investigation conducted by the NRC's Office of Investigations regarding activities at Waterford Steam Electric Station. The Office of Investigations initiated the investigation to determine whether an emergency alert siren maintenance technician at Entergy Operations, lnc.'s Waterford Steam Electric Station, Killona, Louisiana, willfully failed to conduct proper testing and maintenance of sirens, and falsified records pertaining to the testing and maintenance of the sirens.

Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, the concern that an emergency alert siren maintenance technician at Waterford Steam Electric Station willfully failed to conduct proper testing and maintenance sirens , and falsified records pertaining to the testing and maintenance of the sirens was not substantiated . The NRC plans no further action related to the alleged wrongdoing , and considers this investigation closed.
