Dear Mr. Plona:

This refers to an investigation conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)

Office of Investigations (OI) to determine whether a security manager at Fermi Power Plant, Unit 2 willfully failed to provide complete and accurate information to the NRC regarding a security vulnerability. Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, we did not substantiate the allegation. The synopsis from the OI Report of Investigation is enclosed.

OI SYNOPSIS This investigation was initiated on January 28, 2014, by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of Investigations, Region III, to determine whether a Security Manager at the Fermi Nuclear Plant (Fermi) willfully failed to provide complete and accurate information to the NRC regarding a security vulnerability.

Based upon the evidence, this investigation did not substantiate the allegation that a Security Manager at Fermi willfully failed to provide complete and accurate information to the NRC regarding a security vulnerability.
