RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR LASALLE COUNTY STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. MF5347 AND MF5346)

Dear Mr. Gallagher:

On December 9, 2014, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received the Exelon Generation Company, LLC application for renewal of operating licenses NPF-11 and NPF-18 for LaSalle County Station (LSCS), Units 1 and 2. We are currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.101 (10 CFR 2.101), and will notify you of the results of our review.

Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, a schedule for the review will then be provided to you.

We have enclosed for your information a copy of the notice relating to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jeffrey Mitchell as the project manager for the safety review, and Mr. David Drucker as the project manager for the environmental review of your license renewal application. Please forward copies of license renewal correspondence to Mr. Mitchell or Mr. Drucker as appropriate. Mr. Blake Purnell continues to remain responsible for the project management of all issues other than license renewal for LSCS.
