SUMMARY
OF VISIT TO ILLINOIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION AGENCY ASSOCIATED WITH THE LASALLE COUNTY STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT On May 7, 2015, Robert Hoffman (U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)) and I visited the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (ILSHPO) in support of the NRCs environmental review of a license renewal application submitted by Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) for LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2 (LSCS). With the aid of ILSHPO staff, NRC staff reviewed the Illinois archeological site database and associated bibliography reports to confirm the location of historic properties and cultural resources within the area of potential effect. The staff also discussed the proposed license renewal action with Dr. Rachel Leibowitz, ILSHPO, Mr. David Halpin, Cultural Resources Manager, and Mr. Joseph Phillippe, Senior Archaeologist.
The ILSHPO staff expressed no specific concerns regarding the proposed LSCS license renewal during this meeting.
