LICENSE CONDITION - POST-ACCIDENT SAMPLING SYSTEM Re:
San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1 The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.85.to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1. This amendment consists of an addition of license condition 3.K in response to your application dated September 20, 1984 and supported by your Aunust 14, 1984 letter.
The license condition requires: (1) that by July 1, 1986 or startup from the Cycle IX refueling outage, whichever is earlier, a post-accident sampling system (PASS) be installed at San Onofre 1; and (2) that until then, the compensatory measures described in the August 14, 1984 letter are maintained.
The license condition provides a new implementation date for the PASS replacing the date which was established by the March 14, 1983 Order Confirminq Commitments on.Post-TMI Related Issues.
A Notice of Consideration of Tssuance of Amendment to License and Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination and Opportunity for Hearing related to the requested action was published in the Federal Register on October 22, 1984 (49 FR 41300).
No request for hearing or comments were received.
