The question is Per our discussion today:

Your response to Question 387 in your November 14, 2007, letter states that "In most cases the maximum component stress difference with time matched the maximum stress intensity calculatedby ANSYS. This shows that shearingstresses are negligible for the thermal transientat that location and the maximum component stress difference is the maximum stress intensity." Pleasejustify these statements based on qualitative/theoreticalresults or quantitative values for the blend radius locations, with geometricaldiscontinuities,of the thermal transientsanalyzed?

P.S.

SIA document QA-2000-102 was referenced to show that stresses are may not be negligible.
