Jonathan, To address a Region 1 issue, we would like to make a small change to LR Commitment 11 as follows (change underlined):

"The Fire Water System Program will be enhanced to specify that wall thickness evaluations of fire protection piping will be performed on system components using non-intrusive techniques (e.g.,

volumetric testing) to identify evidence of loss of material due to corrosion/MIC (bio-fouling). These inspections will be performed before the end of the current operating term and during the period of extended operation. Results of the initial evaluations will be used to determine the appropriate inspection interval to ensure aging effects are identified prior to loss of intended function."

The Entergy Commitment Tracking D-Base (LRS) has been updated to include this change.

We did not believe that a formal letter was necessary for this change as it only expands on the type of corrosion that we are monitoring to re-affirm to the Region that MIC is included in the Fire Water System Program procedures. Please call me if you have any changes.
