Re: Pilgrim LR ACRS Subcommittee (SC) Meeting on 4/4/07 I was looking at Oyster Creek commitments while preparing a status report on Pilgrim for the Subcommittee. I noticed the following commitment made by the Oyster Creek licensee:

"50. Fluence Methodology The NRC has issued a SER for RAMA approving RAMA for reactor vessel fluence calculations. Oyster Creek will comply with the applicable requirements of the SER."

My understanding of Pilgrim 4th open item is as follows:

"Due to the lack of benchmarking data in support of the plant-specific RAMA fluence calculations, the staff finds neutron fluence values unacceptable .... "

My question is: if it is found acceptable for Oyster, why is it unacceptable for Pilgrim? What is different?
