Hello. I have a couple of questions regarding the March 17 th event at Pilgrim -

those leprechauns causing trouble on St. Patrick's Day!

I understand that the shutdown at Pilgrim NPS occurred after workers discovered a leak in the dry well. The Cape Cod Times stated that David Tarantino, PR Pilgrim, explained that a valve on the reactor cleanup system had a "packing leak" similar to a leaking faucet.

Questions:

1. How much water leaked, volume?

2. How long has it been leaking?

3. How do you know - can it be determined before shutdown in April?

4. What happened to the water? If it was a lot of water did it "pond" on the bottom; could the water seep down into sub-layers at the bottom of the dry well? How do you determine what happened to the water and estimate how much leaked?

5. Has there been a leak or leaks before; and if so, how much leaked? Some history on this would be great.
