List for Old Colony meeting.doc Mr. Ciaramella, As you requested during our telephone conversation on Monday, I am sending you a reminder about the meeting we scheduled with your organization to gather information for the Environmental Impact Statement for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station license renewal. We have scheduled the meeting for Thursday, May 4, at 1:00 pm.Andrew Parker, my colleague at Earth Tech, and I will attend, as well as a representative from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Andrew will be addressing the socioeconomic components of the EIS and I will be examining land use.You indicated that you would check with your staff as to their availability for the May 4 meeting. Old Colony Planning Council, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Earth Tech Land Use and Zoning" Existing land use in the region; is MassGIS data layer for land use accurate/up-to-date?" Major development projects recently approved, proposed, or being considered in the region; land use trends." Ongoing and potential future land use and/or zoning issues relevant to Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNPS) and transmission line corridor." Future land use plans, including the Southeastern Massachusetts Vision 2020 Project." Coastal Zone Management (CZM) -coastal policy, revitalization efforts.Transportation

  • Traffic volumes and safety concerns on regional and local roadways serving PNPS.* Transportation issues and regional transportation planning efforts.* Upcoming transportation (roadways and mass transit) improvements.

Water Supply* Most recent data on consumption and capacity of public water suppliers.

  • Areas without public water supply (e.g., supplied by private wells).* Projected future demand for potable water from public suppliers and options for meeting that demand.* Any major non-municipal users of groundwater in the Town of Plymouth;projected demand.* Is saltwater intrusion a concern in the region?Recreation
  • Public recreation areas in vicinity of PNPS and transmission line corridor.* Recreational use of shoreline in vicinity of PNPS, including CZM implications.

Cultural Resources* Local ordnances/review processes protecting cultural resources.
