Application for Renewed Operating Licenses - Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1 and Unit No. 2 Pursuant to the Code of FederalRegulations,Title 10, Parts 50, 51, and 54, PSEG Nuclear LLC hereby applies for the renewal of Salem Nuclear Generating Station (Salem), Unit No. 1 and Unit No. 2 Facility Operating Licenses, Nos. DPR-70 and DPR-75, respectively. The current Salem Unit No. 1 operating license expires at midnight on August 13, 2016, and the Salem Unit No. 2 operating license expires at midnight on April 18, 2020. PSEG Nuclear LLC seeks to extend the operating terms by 20 years beyond the current expiration dates.

The enclosed License Renewal Application (LRA) contains the information required by the License Renewal regulations set forth in 10 CFR Part 54, and meets the submittal timeliness requirements of 10 CFR 54.17(c). In addition, it satisfies the Environmental Protection regulations set forth in 10 CFR Part 51.

As required by 10 CFR 54.21(b), current licensing basis changes which have a material effect on the content of this application will be identified annually while the application is under NRC review, and at least three months prior to the scheduled completion of the NRC review.

Appendix A, Section A.5, of the Salem LRA provides a list of commitments made in this application. This list will be updated as required throughout the LRA review process.
