Enclosure L-17-020 Summary of Changes

ENCLOSURE Perry Nuclear Power Plant EP 0000 Revision 49 Change Summary Revision 49 of EP 00{)0, Emergency Plan for Perry Nuclear Power Plant Docket Nos. 50-440 contained the following change.

Changes were made in PNPP Emergency Plan training requirements for individuals needing unescorted access. An industry initiative changed the frequency for plant access training (PAT) from annually to two (2) years for contractors and four (4) years for plant personnel. The emergency plan training content for individuals needing unescorted access was imbedded in PAT. Annual emergency plan training is required for individuals needing unescorted access.

References to PAT were removed from the emergency plan while retaining the annual emergency plan training frequency and content for

  • individuals needing unescorted access.

The removal of the plant access training reference from the emergency plan was evaluated in 10CFR50.54(q) PY-2016-016-00 and found to be_

consistent with 10CFR50.47(b) and 10CFR50, Appendix E requirements and not cause a reduction in effectiveness of the Emergency Plan.
