This information notice is provided to notify licensees of information

which could be a vague threat to U.S. nuclear facilities.

Description of Circumstances

A recent radio broadcast from Tehran reported that an Iranian official other

indicated, in a public speech, that U.S. centers, nuclear reactors and

U.S. interests worldwide can'be more vulnerable to attack than Iranian missile

bases in Iran.

Discussion:

The NRC is monitoring the situation and is in contact with other government

agencies as to the significance of this information. Based on the informationthis

currently available, NRC concludes that licensee action in response to is

information is not warranted at this time. If additional information

received which changes this position, notification will be made. If you have
