i ENCLOSURE 1 Significant SALP Report findings for the Marble Hill Nuclear Generating Statio General Observations:
j During the July 1, 1980 to September 30, 1981, evaluation period a signifi-cant improvement to the earlier conditions which resulted in the stopping of j
construction activities has occurred. The results of inspections conducted 1 of activities previously identified as probles areas indicate that the effectiveness of site and corporate management and of the project Quality Assurance Program has improved resulting is increased quality of construction.
<
These improvements were observed while inspecting selected construction activities as site construction mobilized during gradual rescission of the August 15, 1979, Confirmatory Order. Accordingly, a question still exists in regard to the ability of the restructured management controls and Quality Assurance Program to adequately assure the quality of construction as site
'
construction activities return to normal levels. The Confirmatory Order was fully lifted in February of 198 An area of concern regarding the overall management of the Material Management Program was identified.
