Safeguards Section Inspection Summary Inspection on September 22 through October 7, 1986 (Report No. 50-455/86035(DRSS))
Areas Inspected: Concluded the review of the licensee's actions and progress for implementation of the Unit 2 security program.
Particular emphasis was placed on licensee action to correct security findings, completion of routine preoperational inspection objectives and evaluation of security force performance. The inspection was conducted by one NRC inspector and involved backshift evaluation of security lighting and assessment aids as well as interviews of backshift security personnel.
_Re sul ts : The security program was considered adequate to support fuel load.
Thirteen previous security findings were closed during this inspection. One finding, which involved vital area detection aids will remain open until all access portal alarm systems function as required.
The affected access portals are being protected by compensatory security measures and do not adversely impact on the security program.
