The RIII inspector determined that the above listed cable tray installations and associated installation records were acceptable and the trays were installed in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications. The RIII inspector advised CEI management of the following findings:

(1) Fire barriers required in order to meet separation criteria between cable trays noted in the above items had not been installed but that the barriers were shown on the drawings for future installation.

(2) QC inspections of the above listed cable trays had not been completed. Although in most cases the trays had been installed less than two months ago, the inspector stated inspections should not lag installation too far to avoid generic problems going undetected.

No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.

The RIII inspector determined that the above listed cable tray support installations and QC weld inspection records were acceptable and the supports were installed in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications. The RIII insppctor advised CEI management that QC inspection of the above_ listed cable tray supports had not been completed. These records will be reviewed during future routine inspections.

No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.

had not been installed between redundant switchgear located in the Control Complex building at elevation 620'.

A review of the applicable drawings showed the fire walls for installation at a future date.

No itcss of noncompliance were identified.

Exit Interview The inspector met with licensee representatives (denoted in the Persons Contacted paragraph) at the conclusion of the inspection on August 7, 1980 and outlined the scope of the inspection along with a summarization of the results. The licensee acknowledged the findings as reported.
