Unresolved Items Unresolved items are matters about which more information is required to determine whether they are acceptable or may involve violations or devia-tions. New unresolved items identified during this inspection are discussed in paragraph 5.
5.
Electrical (Cables and Terminations-I) Observation of Work, oork Activities, and Review of Quality Records The inspector selected the following cables and cable tray supports for an examination: Cables - 2*KD508, 2*KD511, 2*KD512, 2*RN571, 2*RN565, 2*RN564, 2*NS43, 2"EPE537, 2*ND550, 2*EPC621, 2*EPC623, and 2*EPE502; Cable Tray Supports-HA 2-289, 289a, 273, 217, 218, 219, 202 and 203a.
The work, work activities and/or quality records associated with receipt inspection, cable type and size, cable routing And termination, cable nondestructive tests, cable tray identification, loading, grounding and supports were examined to insure CAR and QAM requirements were satisfied.
All terminations were complete; however, QC inspection was still in process on some terminations i d cable tray supports. Corrective Action Notice E194 and E200 relating to several of the cable tray supports had been previously identified and written up by QC personnel.
Final corrective action for these notices is still pending.

During the inspection it was noted that a cable tray approximately-2 ft.
wide by 9 ft. long, located in the auxiliary building, elevation 750 ft.,
near_ termination cabinet 2ATC-2A, is install approximately 8 ft. above the floor level in a abnormal manner. The cable tray is horizontal to the floor but it is mounted so that bottom of the tray area is against the wall. The cable tray is -almost' full of cables that are kept in the tray area by plastic tywraps. Due to this abnomal installation, a few of the tables extend beyond the cable tray side rails. The bundle of cable in this tray spans a horizontal length of approximately' 14 feet which includes the 9 ft, length of the cable tray. The cable tray is installed per plan with regard to location and position. Since plastic tywraps are the only devices that-hold the cables in the tray area, a failure of these tywraps by some event, such 'as seismic or fire, would allow the cable bundle to drop from the tray area so that it would be suspended approximately 7 feet in the air and unsupported in the horizontal direction for approximately 14 feet. This is an unresolved item and is identified as 50-370/81-14-02, "Sei smic Quali fica-tion of Cable Installation in Tray Located near 2ATC-2A."

Electrical (CaF s and Terminations II) - Observation of Work, Work Activi-ties and Review of Quality Records.
The inspector selected the following cables _ for examination: 2*NS504, 2*CA503, 2*KC615, 2*KC616, 2*NS503, 2*CA504, 2*KC617, 2*KC618, 2*ILE508, 2*EPQ510, 2*KC519, 2*KC523, 2*EPC590, 2*RN665, 2*RN667 through'671.
The work, work activities and/or quality record associated with cable terminations and nondestructive tests were examined to insure SAR and QAM requirements were satisfied.
Variation Notices 25,712; 25,505; and 25685 were examined to insure that field work was accomplished as specified and to see that these notices were incorporated in final drawings.
Within the areas examined there were no violations identified.
