Scope:
Special, announced management meeting to discuss the results of the Region I board convened on October 20, 1981, to evaluate the licensee's performance from July 1, 1980, to June 30, 1981, as part of the NRC's SALP program. Areas addressed included:
Quality Assurance; Site Preparation and Foundations; Containment Structures; Safety-Related Structures; Piping and Hangers; Safety-Pselated Components; Elec*rical; Instrumentation; Fire Protection; Corrective Actions and Reporting; Procurement; Design and Design Changes; and Training.
Results: A summary of the licensee performance evaluation was presented.

Discussion A brief summary of the Systematic Appraisal of Licensee Performance (SALP)
Program was presented to explain the basis and purpose of the evaluation.
The NRC Region I evaluation board meeting was discussed, including the appraisal period, performance data and the results of the board's evaluation.
The licensee will provide comments, concerning the evaluation, to the Senior Resident Inspector within 2 weeks.
The SALP Cycle 2 evaluation report will be issued and distributed subsequent to NRC management's approval of SALP program changes which implement the Commission's guidance of October 20, 1981. This guidance is documented in NRC report NUREG-0834, "NRC Licensee Assessments."
