This refers to the meeting held at our request at the Hope Creek Generating Station,
Hancock's Bridge, New Jersey on November 12, 1981. The purpose of this meeting was
to discuss the findings of the HRC Region I Systematic Assessment of Licensee Per-
fonnance (SALP) program evaluation board, relating to your performance in conducting
activities authorized by NRC License Nos. CPPR-120 and CPPR-121.
This meeting was attended by you and other members of your staff, and by Mr. J. Allan
and other members of my staff. The subjects discussed at this meeting included the
results of a regional SALP appraisal board.
It is our view that this meeting was
bmficial and improved autual understanding of your program and our inspection
P forts.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10,
Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed
in the NRC's Public Document Room.
