.4 2.
Condensate Storace Tank Classification
)
The PSAR states that the Condensate Storage Tanks are classified
!
as safety related Class I items and are structurally designed in i
accordance with Class I design bases.
However the inspector ob-j served that B&R's Equipnent Classification List, dated March 29,
-
1972 (latest availabla), has the word "No" under the listing of
}
" saf e guard s".
When the inspector inquired of licensee if this j
ites would be controlled by Appendix B,10 CFR 50 the first re-i sponse was that the FSAR for Unit #2, now in preparation, would
place these tanks in the safety related status of Class II.
How-t; ever at management interview the licensee stated that an investi-i gation was underway to clear up an apparent inconsistency between the B&R listing and the PSAR and to update the listing by clari-fication of the safety related status of these tanks.
