Routine, announced inspection of plans and procedures, audits, lock and key control, vital area barriers, vital area detection, access control-personnel, access control packages, access control-vehicles, and records and reports.
Results:

The plans and procedures program was very good.
Part of one contingency
procedure contradicted the Physical Security Plan requirements.
In order to resolve this contradiction, the licensee committed to change the procedure (Section 1.1).

-2-DOCUMENT CONTAINS A very good audit program had been implemented for the self-screening
contractors and the plant security program (Section 1,2).
A very good lock and key control system was in place (Section 1.3).
- The vital area barriers were effective and well maintained (Section 1.4).
The vital area detection aids were tested and determined to be effective (Section 1.5).
The access control equipment was tested and determined to be adequate to
ensure that personnel were turrectly searched (Section 1.6).
A very efficient program was maintained for searching packages and
materials (Section 1.7).
An excellent program was in place to provide control of vehicles inside
the protected area (Section 1.8).
Security events were correctly reported and recorded (Section 1.9).
- Summary of Inspection Findings:
Violation 285/9212-01 was closed (Section 2).
Licensee Event Reports90-501 and 91-502 were closed (Section 3).
