This refers to tne inspection conducted by Mr. A. B. Earnest of this office on
August 23-27, 1993. The inspection included a review of activities authorized
for your Fort Calhoun Station. At the conclusion of the inspection, the
findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the
enclosed report.
The inspection involved the review of certain areas of your physical security
program. Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report.
These included selective examination of procedures and representative recoros,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.

It is our understanding that, during the exit meeting on August 27, 1993,
Mr. John Sefick, Director, Nuclear Security, committed to modify a safeguards
continoency procedure that was in conflict with requirements in the Physical
Security Plan.
