We have reviewed your consultant's (Harza Engineering) repor This report indicates that leakage from the cooling lake contributes to the observed seepage on the Kankakee riverbank along Cottage Roa In addition, Harza Engineering has recommended alternative measures to preclude further effects of seepage from the cooling lak These measures include installation of a buried drainage system near the toe of the dike to intercept the seepage water, or consideration of constructing an impervious cut-off wall, either sheet-pile or grout curtain, beneath the dike to block the seepag Please submit to this office a written statement within 20 days of receipt of this letter your proposed corrective measures you intend to take to minimize any further seepage which might affect the integrity of the dike and a schedule of the proposed wor **---..... ---**--1 ~
