Summer Nuclear Station. This Thirty Day Report is required by Technical Specification 6.9.1.13.(b) as a result of entry into Action Statement (a) of Technical Specification 3.3.3.7, " Fire Detection Instrumentation," on March 24, 1983.

O'Reilly LER No.83-030 Page Two April 22, 1983 EVENT DESCRIPTION AND PROBABLE CONSEQUENCES At 1730 hours0.02 days <br />0.481 hours <br />0.00286 weeks <br />6.58265e-4 months <br /> on March 24, 1983, with the Plant in Mode 5, Reactor Building Fire Detection Zones 000 and PPP were declared inoperable when the power supply breaker was opened. Intermittent trouble alarms were being received from these zones; therefore, the electrical service was isolated to ~ allow maintenance personnel to locate and repair the problem. A fire watch patrol was established within one (1) hour in accordance with Action Statement (a) of Technical . Specification 3.3.3.7, and personnel were directed to inspect t,he'-con l.ainment at Jeast once per eight (8) hours. es s_

Thers were no adverse consequences' ftem this event since the Plant was in an outage at the time of the occurrence, and the fire watch patrol minimized the possibility of C fire being undetected.
