Dear Dr.Murley,

Our February 12, 1992 submittal, AEP:NRC:0692CC, requested changes to the Technical Specifications (T/Ss)for Donald C.Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.90.In that submittal we proposed to amend T/S 3/4 7.9.1, Fire Suppression System, for both units to reflect the installation of two fire protection water storage tanks and three pumps to supply a sufficient quantity of clean, reliable water to the plant's fire suppression system.During the course of your staff's review of the aforementioned submittal, we were requested to submit revised technical specification pages.This submittal serves to transmit those pages.It should be noted that since our February 12, 1992 submittal, amendments 165 and 150 to the Unit 1 and Unit 2 T/Ss respectively added a footnote to the T/Ss regarding surveillance testing.Once the new fire water suppression system is declared operable this footnote wi.ll no longer be applicable.

Consequently, it has been deleted from the attached proposed T/S pages.Our February 12, 1992 submittal indicated that the new tanks and pumps would be operati.onal by March of 1993.This is still our current plan.Any delay in maki.ng this system operational continues to subject the system to potential zebra mussel infestation.,t'302020072 930i27 PDR ADOCK 05000315 P PDR cob
