Dear Sir or Madam,

In Reference 1, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued the request forinformation associated with Near-Term Task Force (NTTF) Recommendation 2.1 forFlooding.

In Reference 2, the NRC staff issued guidance for assessing floodinghazards due to dam failure.

In Reference 3, Energy Northwest requested that the NRCinterface with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE),

such that the USACE wouldperform a dam failure analysis for the Columbia River watershed.

UPDATED DAM SCREENING ANALYSIS IN SUPPORT OF ENERGYNORTHWEST'S REQUEST FOR THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS (USACE)DAM FAILURE ANALYSIS SUPPORTPage 2 of 2In a telephone call on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, Energy Northwest stated that itwould identify, no later than Friday, November 15, 2013, the specific dams for which itwas requesting the USACE to perform dam failure analyses.

In a November 15, 2013,email, Energy Northwest stated that it was performing screening level analyses, inaccordance with JLD-ISG-2013-01 (Reference 2), for the upstream dams addressed inColumbia's Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) Table 2.4-1, Major Columbia RiverBasin Dams, and certain upstream dams which are not addressed in the FSAR table.Energy Northwest also stated that it would report preliminary results of those screenings no later than November 22, 2013. The preliminary results of the upstream dams wereprovided in Reference 4 which also stated that the downstream dam assessment wouldbe provided upon completion of the assessment.

The attachment to this letter providesEnergy Northwest's updated analysis results in support of the request made inReference 3.There are no new or revised regulatory commitments contained in this letter.
