occurred, adequatecorrosion protection wasmaintained.

Whenfluctuations weredetected, chemistry parameters wererestoredtogoalvaluesinaccordance withplantprocedures andtheEPRIguidelines.

Thisconclusion wasdiscussed withNRCmanagement andstaffonMarch25,1999atD.C.CookNuclearPlant(CNP).Attachments 1and2containtheresultsoftheindependent chemistry evaluations performed fromSeptember 1997throughFebruary1999.Additionally, attachment 1containsrecommendations bytheindependent evaluator.

Theserecommendations havebeenenteredintoourcorrective actionprogramandwillbedispositioned aspartoftheCNPrestart.Asaresultoftheinvestigation oftheoriginalconcernunderthecorrective actionprogram,wehaveidentified weaknesses inoursubmittal preparation andvalidation processaswellasourownlicenseamendment implementation process.Revisionoftheprocedures thatsupporttheaboveprocesses isapriority.

Intheinterim,wehaveinstituted stringent controlsonsubmittals
