( EVE:T! DESCRI? TION A'iD PR03A3LE CONSEQUENCES During steady state operation, Control Room personnel observed the dryvell at=ospheric tenperature recorder, TR-1-149, to be inoperable.
This is one of two redundant drywell temperature recorders classified as' post-accident instrumentation by Technical Specifications Table 3.2.6 and is required for power operation. The redundant temperature recorder, 16-19-45, was available and operable. Investigation revealed a failed idler assembly in the recorder drive train. This event was identified on 7/5/78 while perforcing an in-house review of safety class mainte-nance activities. Similar events were reported as RO 76-30 and RO 78-16.
