Public Meeting with NextEra Energy to Discuss Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, Subsequent License Renewal Application (Safety) - Aging Management of Irradiated Concrete and Steel Reactor Pressure Vessel Supports Date(s) and Time(s): June 03, 2021, 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST Location: Webinar and Teleconference Category: This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) will meet with the NRC to have a discussion regarding the proposed aging management of irradiated concrete and steel reactor vessel supports. The discussion is part of the ongoing staff review of the NextEra subsequent license renewal application for Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, which was submitted to the NRC on November 16, 2020.
