PA 0047325/ SEPTEMBER 1986 CCN 741326 FILE R9-8A PLE- 8804

Dear Mr. Koval:

Enclosed is a copy of the September 1986 Discharge Monitoring Report for Permit No. PA 0047325. The only noncompliances for September occurred at Outfall 072, Service and Administration Building Sump. The sump was discharged only once during the month with the total suspended solids average monthly limit of 30 mg/l being exceeded (33.3 mg/1) and the oil and grease average monthly limit of 15 mg/l also being exceeded (19.3 mg/1). These results were below daily maximum limits for this outfall. Construction activities in the vicinity of the sun.p caused rainwater runoff to be high in solids. Also, this discharge was not properly treated for oil and grease removal.

Corrective action to avoid future noncompliances from this outfall will include 1) paving the area in the vicinity of the sump to minimize collection ,

of solids and 2) recycle of sump contents through oil and grease removal equipment prior to discharge.

If you have any questions, please call me at (215) 770-7889.

Respectfully yours, O
