PA 0047325/ APRIL 1986 CCN 741326 FILE R9-8A PLE-8332
Dear Mr. Koval:
Enclosed is a copy of the April 1986 Discharge Monitoring Report for Permit No. PA 0047325. The following information details data and/or noncompliances for some of the permitted outfalls:
Outfall 071: Cooling Tower Blowdown Discharge flows were estimated.
Outfall 079:
Sewage Treatment Plant There were high total suspended solids (TSS) of 40.6 mg/1, av. monthly (limit 30 mg/1) and 141 mg/l (instantaneous maximum limit 60 mg/1). The high TSS levels were attributed to carry-over of aluminum hydroxide from the reactivator waste stream. This noncompliance has been corrected. See Note #1 of DMR 079 for additional information.
Outfall 271: Waste Filter Bypass Because of reactivator pressure problems the reactivator discharge was directed to this outfall only one day in April.
The concentration of TSS was 1,500 mg/1. This noncompliance has been corrected. See Note #1 of DMR 271.
