Notice is also hereby given that depositions will be taken of Mr.

Gregory J. Folb, Mr. Jack W. Hickman, Dr. Alan D. Swain, Dr. Ibbert G.

Easterling, Dr. Ihvid C. Aldrich, and Dr. G. Bruce Varnado, of Sandia National taboratories, witnesses for the NRC Staff, by UCS/NYPIRG at a time and place to be agreed upon. 'Ihe deposition will concern the testimony they will be

. providing on behalf of the NRC Staff in the Indian Ibint fpecial Investigation proceeding. In addition, Mr. Folb and Mr. Hickman will be examined about Sandia National Iaboratories' review of the Indian Ibint Probabilistic Safety Study, any Sandia reports docunenting that review, and the meeting held

. between Sandia, the NRC Staff, and the Licensees at Sandia National M

taboratories to discuss this review; Dr. Swain will be examined about his review of the hunan factors and hunan error rate methods used in the Indian Point Probabilistic Safety Study and about the proper use of NUREG/CR-1278; Dr. Easterling will be examined about the use of Bayesian statistical methodologies in probabilistic risk assessment in general and in the Indian Ibint Probabilistic Ehfety Study in particular; Dr. Aldrich will be examined about accident consequence analysis in general, his review (if any) of the accident consequence model used in the Indian Ibint Probabilistic Safety Study (i.e., CRACIT), and the results and implications of the report NUREG/CR-2239 for Indian Ibint and for comparision of risk among various reactors; and Dr.

Varnado will be examined about sabotage risks at reactors in general, sabotage risks at Indian Ibint in particular, and the application of probabilistic risk assessment methodology to assess risk from sabotage.

Richardson, witnesses for (bnsolidated Fdison Company of New York, Inc., and the Ibwer Authority of the State of New York, by (CS/NYIRG at a time and place to be agreed upon by the parties.
