.on September 27, 1984.

O'n Septembar 27, 1984 at about 8:35 a.m. during a routino weekly check of t,he emergency power system, the generator which had been running, stopped and would not restart. A check of the system revealed that a stiff wire

. wh{chwasattachedtothecoilhadsnappedoffprobablybecauseofvibra-tion. The wire was replaced with a soft wire, the system operated normally, and all chec'.s were successfully completed.

The system was checked for stiff wires which might cause a similar problem in the future. None were found.

There were no consequences at the facility.
