During steady state operation, Control Room personnel observed the
- drywell at=ospheric temperature recorder, TR-1-149, to be inoperable.
This is one of two redundant drywell temperature recorders classified .
as post-accident instrumentation by Technical Specification Table 3.2.6 and is required for power operation. The redundant temperature recorder, 16-19-45, was available and operable.. Investigation revealed a broken cord on the chart drive mechanism.
'A similar occurence was reported as RO 76-30. (R0 78-16/3L)
CAUSE DESCRI? TION AND CORRECTIVE ACTION A General Electric Company Mod.el 8HG1A020ll recorder failed to oper-ata due to a broken cord on the chart drive =echanism. The drive cord r
, was replaced and the recorder was returned to ser rice on 6/26/78.
