October 15, 2003 Mr. John L. Skolds, President Exelon Nuclear Exelon Generation Company, LLC 4300 Winfield Road Warrenville, IL 60555

SUBJECT:

LASALLE COUNTY STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 - CORRECTION TO ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS (TAC NOS. MB8464 AND MB8465)

Dear Mr. Skolds:

On March 30, 2001, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (Commission) issued Amendment No. 147 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-11 and Amendment No. 133 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-18 for the LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2, (LaSalle) respectively. The amendments converted the previous Technical Specifications (TS) for LaSalle to a set of improved Technical Specifications.

The Commission is reissuing a corrected copy of TS page 3.6.1.3-8 issued with Amendment Nos. 147 and 133. Specifically, the correction modifies TS Surveillance Requirement (SR) 3.6.1.3.8 to identify that the specified testing requirement is applicable to reactor instrumentation lines. The changes are consistent with the SR wording specified in NUREG-1433, "Standard Technical Specifications General Electric Plants, BWR/4," Revision 2, dated June 2001.

This correction is in response to your application for an amendment dated April 18, 2003, and as supplemented by letter dated June 10, 2003. The staff has decided that an amendment is not required and has withdrawn the proposed change. The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

Sincerely,

/RA/

For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated April 18, 2003, and as supplemented by letter dated June 10, 2003, and the Commission's letter dated October 10, 2003, which corrected a previous issuance of amendments and

withdrew the current application for license amendment.
