{{#Wiki_filter:e .i , CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS CONTAINMENT STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY LIMITING CONDITION FOR OPERATION 3.6.1.6 The structural integrity of the containment shall be maintained at a level consistent with the acceptance criteria in Specification 4.6.1.6. t APPLICABILITY: MODES 1, 2, 3, and 4 ACTION:
- a. With the structural integrity of the containment not conforming at a level consistent with acceptance criteria of Specification 4.6.1.6.1.a. complete an evaluation that assures structural integrity within 30 days or be in at least HOT STANDBY within the next 6 hours and. in COLD SHUTDOWN within the following 30 hours.
- b. With the structural integrity of the containment not conforming at a level consistent with the acceptance criteria of Specification 4.6.1.6.2 and 4.6.1.6.3 complete an evaluation that assures structural integrity prior to increasing Reactor Coolant System Temperature above 2000F.
SURVEILLANCE HEQUIREMENTS 4.6.1.6.1 Containment Tendons. The containment tendon's structural integrity shall be demonstrated at the end of one, three, and five years fol-lowing the initial containment structural integrity test and at five year intervals there af ter. - a. Determining that for a representative sample of at 1 cast 21 tendons (6 dome, 5 vertical, and 10 hoop), each tendon has a normalized lif t-off force equalling or exceeding its lower limit predicted for the time of the test (see Figures 4.6-1, -2, and -3). If the normalized lif t-off force of any one tendon in a group lies between the predicted lower limit and the lower bound, an adjacent tendon oa cach side shall be checked for lift-off force. If both of these tendons are found acceptable, the sur-veillance program may proceed considering the singic deficiency as unique and acceptable. If the prestressing force of either of the adjacent ten-dons lies below the predicted lower limit, the condition is reportable per T.S. 6.9.1.
, If the lift-off force of any tendon lies below the established lower bound, the tendon shall be considered a defcetive tendon. It shall be completely detensioned and a determination made as to the cause of the occurrence. The condition is reportable per T.S. 6.9.1. In addition, determining that the means of the normalized lift-off forces for the sample populations (hoop, vertical, dome) are equal to or greater t than the required prestress levels; 536 kips for hoop tendons, 622 kips for vertical tendons, and 555 kips for dame tendons (reference figures
- 4. 6-1, -2, and -3). If the mean is below the required average prestress force, it shall be reported to Ute Commission pursuant to T.S. 6.9.1 and an evaluation shall be made to de termine probable cause and, if r2 quired, !
corrective action. Operation of the plant may continue, while the evalua-tion is being made. 3/4 6- 8a i
