BG&E letter dated 7/27/77 from A. E. Lundvall, Jr. to E. G. Case, Request for Amendment to Operating Licenses Gentlemen:
The referenced letter contained a request to modify the Calvert Cliffs containment tendons surveillance technical specifications in order to account for variations in seating forces and tendon lengths which may be expected to occur during the lifetime of the plant. Subsequent to that submittal, numerous discussions have been held with the NRC Staff concerning this issue and a good deal of meaningful negotiations have taken place. The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge that the resolution of this issue is imminent in the opinions of our staff and yours and to provide you with revised draf t technical specifications reflecting that resolution. (See attached pages 3/4 6-8,6-8a, 6-9, 6-9a, and Figures 4.6-1, 2 and 3).
We have determined that this submittal constitutes supplementary information to a previous request and that, pursuant to 10CFR Part 170, no additional fee submittal is required.
