SUMMARY

OF MAY 2011, PUBLIC MEETING WITH TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY REGARDING WAITS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 2 FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT SUBMITTALS On May 10 through 12, 2011, a Category 1 public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) at NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss outstanding issues relating to TVA's Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) submittals.

The NRC staff and TVA discussed proposed requests for additional information regarding the review of the Fire Protection Report, Technical Specifications, and outstanding issues in FSAR Sections 7, 11, 12, and 13 (Instrumentation and Controls, Radioactive Waste Management, Radiation Protection, and Conduct of Operations, respectively).

A list of participants is enclosed.
