Thedeficiency resultsfromtheinstallation ofsmallpipesupportsontheUnit1containment linerplateanddiaphragm slablinerplatewithouthaving,hadthecivildesigngroupreviewthestructural adequacyofthelinerplatetosupportthehangerloads.Sincethelinerwasdesignedonlytoprovidealeaktightbarrier,preliminary evaluation indicates thattheinstallation oftheseaddedsupportshasresultedinlocaloverstressing ofthelinerplate.Hadthisdeficiency remaineduncorrected itcouldhaveaffectedadversely thesafeoperation oftheplant,anditistherefore deemedreportable under10CFR50.55(e).
