Rules and Directives Branch Division of Administration Services Office of Administration OnX er1/rm U.S. NFIC FIJ Washington, D.C.20555-0001 I am very strongly opposed to the 3 proposals that Entergy Corporation has pending before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant in Vernon, VT.
I urge you to decline their bid to:
- 1. a 20% uprate in their power output
- 2. a 20 year license extension
- 3. an expansion of their high-level waste storage capacity.
My family and I live only 20 miles from this plant, and I fear for our safety and that of our community if approval is given to Entergy Corporation. This plant is an antique machine and under additional pressure and stress could easily become a major accident site. This risk Is unaccep-table to me and my insurance company.
