St. Albans, VT, 05478 Email: susan@pinkhouse.com General Comment Entergy should be compelled to complete decommissioning as quickly as possible and should not be allowed to use decommissioning funds for other purposes like spent fuel management etc.
So long as there is fuel in the fuel pool, emergency measures should be maintained at least to a thirty mile radius of the facility.
If we have learned one thing from Fukushima, it is that a spent fuel pool is never safe from accident or misadventure until the fuel has been removed to dry cask storage.
Entergy knew full well the obligations they were committing to when they acquired Vermont Yankee. They made promises to us, the people of Vermont, and I think it is only fair that those promises be upheld.
